SWARD (South West Action for Rural development) is the delivery mechanism for the NI Rural Development Programme 2008-2013 for the four District Councils areas of Cookstown, Dungannon and South Tyrone, Fermanagh and Magherafelt.

The Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 is part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and is managed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Village Renewal Measure

The Village Renewal Measure ( 3.5) will be delivered in 2 stages. Firstly Village Enablers will be recruited to assist local stakeholders to draw up development plans for a selected number of villages. In the second stage, grants will be available to fund the priority actions from these plans.
